ATLANTA - (May 28, 2010) Starting today, downtown residents and patrons of the popular city attractions in and around Centennial Olympic Park will finally be able to choose from several menu items that are convenient and family friendly for their dining needs while in the area. Atlanta-based Concessions International, LLC (CI) and the World of Coca-Cola have partnered to provide a first-class, food service establishment in the Centennial Olympic Park area. Pemberton Café, named after Dr. John Pemberton, the inventor of the Coca-Cola formula, is nestled amidst the inviting green space (Pemberton Place) between the World of Coca-Cola and The Georgia Aquarium. Pemberton Café's bright, open environment mirrors the welcoming park in which it is located.

Pemberton Café, which is managed and operated by Concessions International for the World of Coca-Cola, offers fresh food fast with a variety of menu offerings to satisfy all ages.  CI developed the menu specifically to cater to the wide diversity of visitors to Pemberton Place.  Upon entering the Café, guests will immediately be greeted by bright and bold digital menu board developed utilizing the latest technology.  The menu offers hamburgers hot dogs, pizza, fresh salads, sandwiches and kid's meals as well as vegetarian offerings. Pemberton Café also features a selection of treats to sweeten or cool you down on a hot Atlanta day, including hand-dipped ice cream, floats, fruit parfaits, pies, cookies, four flavors of Icee's, and Coca-Cola cupcakes. Menu prices range from $1.29 -$8.99.

The World of Coca-Cola involved all of their employees with the project since many of them will be dining there on a regular basis.  They gave employees a role in naming the new dining facility. After an exhaustive list of possibilities, they settled on a name that paid homage to the Coca-Cola formula's inventor.

"We are looking forward to providing quality food and being able to offer an outstanding service for visitors is very meaningful," said Michael Russell, CEO of Concessions International. "And from a bottom-line standpoint, we expect sales to quadruple at Pemberton Cafe. We invite Atlanta residents and visitors to give us a try. I'm confident they will be completely satisfied, and that it will make dining in the park very convenient. All they will have to bring is their blanket because we'll have great food."

In addition to Concessions International, LLC and the World of Coca-Cola, the other Atlanta-based companies involved in the project Upbuild Design for architecture, New South Construction as the general contractor, and branding and design by Jones Worley Design.

Hours of Operation are 9:00am - 6:00pm during the peak season, and are subject to change. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards are accepted. Pemberton Café also offers boxed meals with group sales.

As an added bonus, season pass holders and employees of the World of Coke and Georgia Aquarium receive a 10 percent discount when they show their employee ID or season ticket pass.
